What next…..

Heritage Trail Textile wall hanging

Following on from the successful launch of all of the Axbridge Trails it was decided that it would be good to bring together a group of people who would like to create a textile wall hanging of the Heritage Trail.  We have now formed a community group of 9 ladies who are translating the history of the trail into stitch.

It will take some time to complete but the 2.5x1m hanging is now well underway.  When finished it will be framed and hung at the back of St John’s Church.  Historical images from the buildings that are part of the Trail are being appliquéd and embroidered onto a beautiful piece of fine woollen cloth.

A sample of the hanging is now being displayed in the Church.
